Walk These Stones

"WALK THESE STONES; Encounters along a Costa Rican Village Road" is a collection of stories and experiences written by Leslie Hawthorne Klingler resulting from three years she and her husband, Tim, spent in a small village in Costa Rica. There they discovered their neighbor's simple joys, shared their struggles and wrestled with questions that arose from living, working and worshipping across cultures. Edgar Metzler, International Program Director for the Mennonite Central Committee makes this comment about the book, "It is a marvelous gift to have someone with the talent to share her experience and reflections in a way that can speak to all of us."

The pastel paintings of Dotty Hawthorne bring additional richness and texture to "Walk These Stones." The vivid depictions of village life, infused with vibrant tropical color, offer moving impressions and keen insights into her daughter's stories and her own visits to the village of Cuatro Cruces.

"Walk These Stones" published by Squire Oaks Press, is available in hardback with full color images for $15.00. A copy can be ordered through Amazon.com, or directly by e-mail (dmhawthorne@aol.com).
